Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Throwback (the Service), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

You sign in with a magic link sent to your email. You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure, and for activity that happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time from the account menu in the app.

You keep ownership of the memories you create: titles, stories, dates, locations, cover images, and the links you add. By creating a memory you grant Throwback a limited license to store, display, and serve that content so the Service can work, including showing public memory pages to anyone who has the link.

Memories are public by default. Anyone with a memory URL, or who taps a keepsake you have tagged, can view it. Do not put anything in a memory that you would not want to be publicly accessible.

You agree not to use Throwback to:

• Post content that is illegal, harmful, hateful, or infringing
• Share other people's private information without their consent
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
• Attempt to break, overload, or abuse the Service or its infrastructure

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Throwback writes a memory URL to NFC tags that you choose to apply to physical objects. You are responsible for the tags you write and the objects you place them on. Anyone who taps a tagged object can open the linked memory.

Memories link to content hosted on third-party services (such as Instagram, Google Photos, or iCloud). Throwback does not control and is not responsible for those services or their content. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.

The Service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content will always be available.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Throwback is provided without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or content, arising from your use of the Service.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or use the Service in a way that could harm other users or the Service.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will note material changes by updating the Last updated date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
